Green Wood Stool Making

  Green Wood Stool Making

Please see Our Calendar for dates and times.

On this day course you’ll gain some insight into how to work green
(unseasoned) wood. You’ll learn how to select timber, how to convert it by cleaving (splitting) the wood to the right size then further shape the wood using a side axe before making three legs using a drawknife and spoke shave sitting astride a shaving horse.

You’ll drill holes in a slice of timber using a bit and brace (or cordless drill!) before completing a simple three legged stool.
